| Web-based Admin UI and API
Coveo Enterprise Search features a simple, web-based UI for easy administration. It also emails alerts to report important system events and schedules automatic maintenance tasks. Coveo’s API allows for the custom development of administration functions and their integration into external systems.
Administration tools
All administrations and configuration tasks, the customization and the daily maintenance can be performed through easy to use and comprehensive user interfaces. This set of web-based tools, all accessible from a single point, includes:
- Scheduling of routine tasks like backup and index optimization to run during off-peak hours.
- Interface editor to customize default preferences, as well as the look and feel of the enabled features and search facets.
- Customization and fine-tuning of the ranking parameters.
- Definition of scopes, hubs and audiences to determine which interfaces are available to which users and groups of users.
- Reporting capabilities of indexing, queries and other system usage.
- Email alerts.
- Management of the thesaurus.
- Management of metadata mapping, connector parameters, access rights, source and collection definition, configuration parameters, etc.

Reporting
Coveo’s live console provides administrators a real-time view of what is going on the system, including comprehensive reports and statistics on system status, queries, content, history, and more.
Installing
With Coveo Enterprise Search, everything is installed and initially configured using an install kit for easy deployment. A desktop plug-in for Outlook can be deployed through Group Policy Objects (GPO).
